Ride Report – 13th May 2017

***RIDE REPORT***

Our very first rides as a British Cycling affiliated club went with an absolute bang.

I’m going to give a few thank yous today to some people who have stepped up to the plate and when I get recognition these are some of the guys who should really get the credit.

My first one is Paul Rolfe who has been a rock to me and always been vocal and truthful when I’m pondering. Paul’s dedication to the Foundation group has been nothing short of amazing. The kids love him. He always has a smile and to think he drives from Rugby every Saturday to help others is a credit to him. Thanks Paul.

My next is Carl Rogers always a guy who has supported Chapter II right from the very first ride. Today on a rare occasion I got to ride in a group with him. He spoke so proudly of the group and his journey with them it made me swell up. I promise to look after them mate for the next few weeks. Thanks Carl

My next one is Dan Cox, I’ve always had a soft spot for him but you put me with him and my passion turns into overdrive, we sing off the same hymn sheet when it comes to cycling and he works tirelessly to network and create structure for the club. Dan you’re classy both on and off the bike and I love working with you.

Lastly is Matthew Hall, there’s not enough words I can say to thank this guy and his team at Under Pressure, it’s hard work to cater for us lot rolling in every Saturday but we are always greeted with a smile and the best coffee. He doesn’t have to be so kind to give us a hub but his generosity to give Chapter II a home must always be remembered. Matt you are on hell of a dude and a big part of cycling in the community. Thank you from all of us.

Ride wise everything was super strong today, good numbers, good clean groups. As usual a cracking outfit worthy of its good reputation.

For me it’s now time to hit the family ride. Let the chaos commence.
